Frequently Asked Questions
-
Can I bring my own board? Where are classes?
Small SUP is a mobile business that provides all the gear you need for class or events in West Michigan. Classes are on Reed’s Lake, Muskegon Lake, Grand River, Lake Michigan, and Hamlin Lake. You do not need to bring your own gear to a class.
If you have a board and need instruction, live on a waterway and want Moo to travel to you, please contact us to arrange a private, 1:1 session.
-
What should I wear?
Dry-wicking active wear and swimsuits work best. Wear something that dries fast and does not weigh you down when wet.
It’s a good idea to put on waterproof sunscreen thirty (30) minutes before class to avoid sunburn and slipping around on your board.
-
Can I bring my phone?
Small SUP is not responsible for your items lost or destroyed (i.e. cell phones). Your instructor will have a phone on person for emergency purposes and photos during class.
-
What if I need to cancel my Booked Class?
If you need to cancel or reschedule, you must do so at least twenty-four (24) hours before your class start time.
Small SUP reserves the right to not issue a refund for no shows, late cancels, and late arrivals.
-
What is the weather policy?
Small SUP reserves the right to cancel or reschedule in case of high winds, a sever storm warning, or inclement weather that poses unsafe conditions.
We will contact you as soon as we can by phone and/or email in case of class cancellation to reschedule or issue a refund.

Can I rent a board and do my own thing?
Not at this time. Small SUP is not a rental or retail business. Feel free to contact us with questions on where to rent boards or to schedule a private, 1:1 session if small, group classes are not your thing.
